The truth is I loved taking the kids trick or treating when they were young, then as they got older and it just wasn’t cool to be seen with dad and mom, especially dad and mom dressed in Halloween finery so you can imagine that now I have grandchildren we are both in seventh heaven.

The eldest is an avid Harry Potter fan and she loves the bloodcurdling and shrieking of the evil and deadly characters in the movies and the novels more than the human characters.

This Halloween she is not sure what she is dressing up as but her sister is adamant she is going to dress up in her Dementor costume and scare as many of the mortals as possible into submission to get their candy bars.

And I thought my two sons loved the dark side too much. Happy Halloween everyone!
